Welts, White & Fontaine Attorneys Volunteer for Concord and Nashua Competitions

jack-whiteIsrael Piedra-190Jack S. White and Israel F. Piedra recently served as volunteer judges for New Hampshire high school mock trial and “We the People” competitions.

The mock trial competition was held in Nashua at Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Among the mock trial judges were United States federal court Judge Joseph N. Laplante. Several New Hampshire high schools participated in the event.

The “We the People” competition is a national program run by the Center for Civic Education. It tests high school students on their knowledge of constitutional law and government. The New Hampshire competitions take place at the Legislative Office Building in Concord. Attorney Piedra is an alumnus of the program, having previously represented New Hampshire at the national finals in Washington D.C. along with his classmates from Milford High School.  Attorney Davi Peters will be a volunteer judge at the State Finals in January.
